Store Manager for WooCommerce
Connect Claude to your WooCommerce shop. Ask about products, stock, orders and sales, and let Claude prepare changes as drafts that you approve in your WordPress admin.
What it does
Store Manager for WooCommerce is a remote MCP server run by addsynapse. It gives Claude a fixed set of tools for one WooCommerce shop, executed on your site by the addsynapse Connector plugin.
- Read: search products, open a product with all its fields, stock and data-quality reports, sales and best sellers, orders, top customers, categories, attributes, menus, pages and SEO.
- Prepare changes: prices and sales, stock, product fields and variations, categories, tags, brands and attributes, custom fields, menus, page content, SEO titles and descriptions, new orders and coupons.
- Nothing is written to your shop until a person approves the draft in your WordPress admin.
Requirements
- A WordPress site with WooCommerce 8 or newer (WordPress 6.9+, PHP 8.1+), served over HTTPS.
- The addsynapse Connector plugin installed and connected: in WordPress open AddSynapse → Connector and click “Connect”.
- An addsynapse account with the AI Shop Assistant (Basic, Standard or Pro) on that site. The plan decides which tools Claude sees — see the table below.
- A Claude plan that lets you add custom connectors.
Connect from Claude

In Claude open Settings → Connectors and choose “Add custom connector”.

Enter a name (for example “Store Manager for WooCommerce”) and the server URL
https://api.addsynapse.com/mcp— then click Add. -
Click Connect. You are sent to app.addsynapse.com to sign in to addsynapse (OAuth). Choose the shop, review the permissions and click Allow.

Back in Claude, enable the connector in a chat and ask, for example, “Which products are low on stock?”.
One connection gives access to one shop. To work with another shop, add the connector again and choose that shop when you sign in.
Permissions
You grant these permissions when you sign in. They apply only to the shop you chose — never to your other shops, your addsynapse account or billing.
ops:read- Read your shop: products, prices, stock, categories and attributes, sales reports, orders and customers.
ops:write- Prepare changes to your shop (prices, stock, products, categories, menus, pages, SEO, coupons, draft orders). Prepared changes are drafts only.
Every change is a draft
Tools whose title ends in “draft — you approve” never change your shop. They create a draft and return an approval link. Claude asks you before it calls them.
- Open the approval link: it takes you to your WordPress admin, where you see a before/after preview of every change.
- Click Approve to apply it, or Reject. You can approve only some of the products in a draft.
- Applied changes can be undone from the same screen. Drafts that are not approved expire after 24 hours.
- Claude cannot approve, apply or undo anything, cannot run code or SQL, and has no tools for user accounts or passwords.

Customer privacy: order and customer tools return no names, email addresses or phone numbers — only order numbers, amounts, dates and anonymous customer references.
Disconnect
Remove the connector in Claude under Settings → Connectors, or revoke it from your addsynapse dashboard: open the site and go to “Connected AI assistants”. Revoking ends access immediately.
Troubleshooting and support
- No tools appear: check that the addsynapse Connector on your site shows “Connected” and that the site has the AI Shop Assistant.
- A tool you expect is missing: it may need a higher plan (see the table) or a newer Connector version.
- An “insufficient scope” error: disconnect and connect again, and allow both permissions.
